As a new sensing method using an optical comb, we propose to measure the magnetic effect in a rare-earth-doped fiber in a laser resonator using the offset frequency (fceo) of the optical comb. In this study, as a proof-of-principle, we fabricated an all-PM fiber comb using erbium ions as the gain medium, applied a magnetic field to this gain fiber, and observed the fceo response with a frequency counter.
