The presence of ions with high mobility in the junctions of different transition metal oxide heterostructures is known to result in the alleviation of chemical potential differences due to ion transfer and rearrangement. In this study, we focused on lithium vanadate and lithium titanate as model systems for fabricating epitaxial junctions, where modulation of physical properties due to Li transfer and rearrangement is expected. The fabricated heterojunctions exhibited alterations in crystal structure and physical properties, which are believed to be attributed to Li transfer.
