[16a-K406-3] Synthesis of PEDOT:PSS for Capacitor Applications

PEDOT:PSS is widely used as an electrode material for Al solid electrolytic capacitors because of its excellent electrical conductivity, heat resistance, and stability. In this study, we investigated the synthesis of PEDOT:PSS with the aim of improving the withstand voltage of capacitors. PEDOT:PSS was synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization at different molar ratios of catalyst to EDOT monomer. Furthermore, we fabricated Al solid electrolytic capacitors and evaluated frequency characteristics and withstand voltages.
