We transferred CVD-grown monolayer WS2 onto a high-Q silica microspherical resonator. A redshift of the PL spectrum from WS2 was observed, suggesting that the resonator's optical field affects the bandgap of WS2. The temperature dependence of the PL spectrum was measured and compared with theoretical calculations to investigate the mechanism of the redshift.
