High-coherence electron beams are used in a wide range of scientific fields, from advanced research to industrial applications. The ultimate performance of an electron beam is determined by the initial momentum due to the temperature of the electron source. In this research, we are developing an electron source using atomic gas cooled to an extremely low temperature using laser cooling technology. We have developed an electron source main vacuum chamber that combine the accelerating electrode structure and MOT, and a cooling laser system. In preparation for the beam generation test, we realized MOT and prepared a beam diagnostic system.
