Unlike REBCO, MgB₂ does not require crystal orientation to achieve high J_c, making it easier to obtain thick films and achieve high Je. In MgB₂ coated conductors, the deposition temperature is relatively low at around 300°C, allowing for a wide range of metal tapes to be used as substrates. In this study, we fabricated MgB₂ thin films on Al, Cu, and SUS304 plates and evaluated their superconducting properties.
