To meet the needs of small voltage measurement, we have developed a compact programmable Josephson voltage standard (Tower-type PJVS) system with a resolution of about 30 μV and demonstrated a measurement accuracy equivalent to that of the national standard system in DC voltage calibration. In this study, we further improved the conventional Tower-type PJVS system and developed a new system that combines a new method for generating small-amplitude AC voltage waveforms applying frequency modulation. In this presentation, we will report the details of this new system, evaluation results, and application examples.
