The issue of the kinetic inductance of a superconducting strip under a DC bias current fundamentally belongs to the realm of nonequilibrium superconductivity. While previous studies circumvented this problem by introducing phenomenological assumptions, this work directly addresses it using the established microscopic theory of nonequilibrium superconductivity, the Keldysh-Eilenberger theory. The Higgs mode plays a crucial role in this analysis. Phys. Rev. Applied 22, 044042 (2024)
