In this study, we developed a single-molecule measurement technique based on high-speed current measurements using a nano-gap integrated device for the identification and sequence determination of modified RNA and peptides. This approach enables highly sensitive and accurate analysis of biomolecules, allowing for the detection of even subtle modifications. The technology has the potential to significantly impact various applications, particularly in the medical field, and is expected to have a broad ripple effect across a range of industries.
