Our research group is developing a optical-fiber-based neutron detector using spherical Li glass scintillators for BNCT (Boron Neutron Capture Therapy). Thermal neutron irradiation experiments and PHITS simulations were conducted to evaluate the wall effect associated with the ⁶Li(n,t)α reaction in spherical Li glass.
