In recent years, with advancements in the development of implantable biosensors, organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) have attracted significant attention due to their high biocompatibility. However, there is concern about the device performance: the sensor response is influenced by biomolecules or cells which are adsorbed on the monitoring surface. In this study, we synthesized two types of copolymers, a random copolymer and a block copolymer, using the zwitterionic monomer DMAPS, which is expected to prevent non-specific protein adsorption. We mixed these copolymers with PEDOT:PSS films and investigated their application in OECTs.
