We conduct the spectroscopy of the 2S1/2(F=0) - 2D3/2(F=2) clock transition at 435 nm in single 171Yb+ ions, which are confined in a RF trap and three-dimensionally cooled. We simplify the structure of the spectrum by driving only the mF=0 to mF'=2 & -2 Zeeman components. This is done by adjusting the direction of the magnetic field and the polarization of the clock laser. Then we are trying to improve the signal-to-noise ratio in the spectra. At present, we observed the spectra with a Lamb-Dicke parameter of ~1.5, corresponding to the temperature of ~2 mK.
