It has been reported that the statistical properties of plasma deviate from the standard Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution. Therefore, in non-equilibrium plasma with a power-law mathematical structure, traditional statistical mechanics, where the slope of the Boltzmann plot has physical significance as temperature, cannot adequately represent the physical characteristics of the system. To overcome this problem, non-extensive statistical mechanics, which involves a non-additive extension that has the implication of extending exponential distributions to power-law distributions, was applied to examine the electron temperature of low-temperature weakly ionized Ar plasma.
