The time evolution of the electron energy distribution function in an atmospheric-pressure air streamer discharge was measured using the laser Thomson scattering method. Changes in rotational Raman scattering due to a gas temperature rise of a few kelvins were corrected. From the measured spectra inside and outside the streamer, the time evolution of electric field strength and electron density was calculated, and the plasma physics of air streamer discharge was analyzed. Additionally, the impact of electron detachment from negative ions in laser Thomson scattering measurements was examined.
