We have grown Fe-Ga magnetostrictive alloy single crystals that can be used for magnetostrictive vibration power generation for IoT (Internet of Things) using the vertical Bridgman (VB) method. In order to stabilize the power output of vibration power generation devices, we developed a unique processing technology for Fe-Ga plates.
We measured the electrical impedance of Fe-Ga single crystal plates and calculated the force factor α that is the electromechanical coupling factor in energy conversion process. The force factor α has been positively correlated with the power generation output of the vibration power generators. This time, we investigated the effect of thermal annealing on Fe-Ga single crystal plates and report the results.
