Mass Spectrometry Imaging
To apply high-sensitivity single-cell mass spectrometry imaging to biological tissues, we developed a miniaturized new Tapping-mode Scanning Probe Electrospray Ionization (t-SPESI) measurement system to enhance ion detection sensitivity. In this presentation, we report the changes in ion detection sensitivity achieved with the new system and the results of mass spectrometry imaging of mouse brain tissue sections.
