If slow-photon enhances an absorption of irradiated light and anisotropic charge separation occurs simultaneously, nanoporous TiO2 thin films with a pseudo-single-crystal framework will be efficient photocatalysts. In this study, we attempted to synthesize TiO2 thin films with controlled porous structure and crystal planes by using polystyrene beads as template and a liquid-phase epitaxial growth.
