The role of crystal order in organic electronics will be presented, focusing on our research. Starting from the thin film growth of organic molecules, we have developed the “naphthalene flux method,” in which crystals of large molecular weight molecules that do not dissolve in ordinary solvents are grown from naphthalene solvent. We have also worked on the ordering of covalent organic frameworks (COFs), which are polymerized monomers with multiple bondings. As a future prospect, we expect to combine chemical functions with electronics.
