We propose using single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) oriented thin films as the physical reservoir layer in reservoir computing to develop nanodevices with nonlinear and hysteretic electrical properties. The SWCNT-oriented thin films were fabricated using the Langmuir-Blodgett method, and atomic force microscopy analysis revealed that the nanotubes were aligned parallel to the compression barrier. Furthermore, the current-voltage characteristics and fast Fourier transform analysis of these thin films demonstrated electrical properties suitable for application as a reservoir layer.
