NV center in diamond
Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond can be used for magnetic field sensing by optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR), which combines optical transition and magnetic resonance. ODMR is generally performed using green light to excite NV and red fluorescence emitted when NV are deexcited, however, in this study, ODMR is performed using infrared transitions in the singlet.
