Simulation of thresholdless Auger recombination rates in 1.3µm band type-II quantum wells was performed using an 8-band kp perturbation method. The results demonstrate that, in comparison with type-I quantum wells, both W- and M- type-II quantum wells can reduce the CHCC and CHHX thresholdless Auger recombination coefficients.
