We report emergent neuron-like spiking in an organic thyristor based on its memristive properties and intrinsic dynamics. Diverse firing patterns, including regular/fast spiking and bursting, arise from a single device by tuning only passive circuit conditions. This series of talks demonstrates that materials can spontaneously acquire neural functions without relying on circuit-based designs.
