In nanoparticle synthesis, microfluidic devices have attracted attention because of their high reproducibility and low material loss. However, evaluation of the synthesized nanoparticles generally requires offline measurements such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), which makes efficient exploration of synthesis conditions difficult. In this study, we demonstrate a method for rapidly estimating the size of nanoparticles during synthesis, based on analysis of light scattering fluctuations from nanoparticles flowing inside the microfluidic channel.
