Recently, it has been reported that bulk photovoltaic effect due to the broken T- symmetry can be generated simultaneously with the shift current. However, the application of such unique bulk photovoltaic effect requires the control of complex P- and T- symmetries, so new guidelines for the control of symmetries and photocurrent are strongly desired. In this session, we will discuss the control of T- symmetry using an external electric field and the resulting bulk photovoltaic effect.
