multiple drones
Toward realizing a system that enables a single operator to intuitively control multiple drones and perform coordinated tasks for smooth rescue support in disaster situations, we developed a prototype that controls multiple drones in accordance with the movements of each fingertip estimated from camera video. Evaluation experiments demonstrated successful simultaneous control of two drones based on the operator’s index and middle fingers, and the trajectories of the drones and the fingertips were found to generally match. With further improvements, this approach has the potential to contribute to rescue-support activities in disaster scenarios.
