Angular momentum and chirality are distinct yet related physical quantities. While the orbital angular momentum of optical vortices has been extensively studied from various perspectives, including interactions with matter, orbital optical chirality remains largely unexplored both theoretically and experimentally. In this study, we performed spatially resolved spectroscopic analysis of chirality-selective interactions between optical vortices with orbital angular momentum and chiral nanostructures, and discovered novel interactions at the vortex center that cannot be explained by conventional frameworks of optical chirality or orbital angular momentum.
