In this study, we performed low temperature, ultra-high vacuum STM-TERS (scanning tunneling microscopy-tip enhanced Raman spectroscopy) measurements on two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in which transition-metal atoms act as linker—systems that have attracted considerable attention as highly efficient reaction catalysts and quantum spin materials. Owing to the excellent spatial resolution of TERS, vibrational peaks at different energy positions were clearly identified at the Ag surface, the Ph4DN molecules, and the Co atomic sites.
