Temperature-controlled atmospheric-pressure plasma enables irradiation of biological samples within physiological temperature ranges. In this study, we demonstrate that plasma treatment can directly deliver proteins into plant cells. We further investigated the underlying mechanism of protein introduction via plasma exposure and explored its potential application to genome editing in plants without the need for DNA delivery.
