We evaluated the humidity dependence of a graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) coated QCM gas sensor. The g-C3N4 film was prepared by thermal polymerization of melamine and deposited on a QCM substrate. We measured the resonance frequency response under relative humidity ranging from 20% to 80% RH. The frequency decreased with increasing humidity, showing a significantly larger shift compared to an uncoated QCM. Temperature monitoring confirmed that the response was attributed to humidity. The sensing mechanism will be discussed based on structural analysis.
