2H MoTe2 a two-dimensional material, exhibits a high optical absorption coefficient across the visible to infrared spectral range, making it a promising candidate for high responsivity photodetectors. However, its intrinsically low charge carrier mobility limits the achievable response speed. Integrating high mobility graphene (gr) as a photoexcited carrier transport layer offers a potential route to simultaneously realize high responsivity and high speed operation. In this study, we fabricated vertical gr/MoTe2/gr devices employing MoTe2 layers with thicknesses less than 5 nm, and evaluated their photoresponse in electrical conduction.
