In the newly developed 4π gamma-ray imager, nonuniformity in imaging accuracy across the field of view had been a issue. To address this, we conceived an approach in which the imager is rotated at the same location while performing multiple measurements, and the resulting images are summed to smooth out variations in imaging accuracy depending on the source direction. In this study, simulations confirmed that summing the results of three measurements acquired with 120° rotation increments reduces the variation in imaging accuracy among measurement directions.
