As advancements on AI and other applications drive demand for higher-performance semiconductor chips, complex physical phenomena are increasing chip design difficulty in 2nm process and beyond. To overcome these challenges, Rapidus has made DMCO—simultaneous optimization of design and manufacturing—the core of its strategy and is developing the design solution called “Raads”. In this presentation, we present the architecture of Raads, illustrate the impact of AI on physical design, and provide an outlook on the next-generation semiconductor chip design ecosystem that Rapidus aims to achieve.
