In this presentation, I discuss the development of an ultra-high-sensitivity MRI system capable of non-invasively mapping oxygen atoms within the human brain, using a high-sensitivity magnetic resonance signal-detection coil employing high-temperature superconducting (HTS) materials. The future goal is to apply this technique to ultra-early diagnosis methods for dementia.
