Spontaneous orientational polarization (SOP) occurs when polar organic molecules are vacuum deposited because their dipole moments are statistically oriented. Giant surface potential (GSP) induced by SOP is expected to be applied to electret materials for vibrational power generation devices. In this study, we investigate whether carbazole dendron orientation can be controlled by modifying the inner layer of dendrons with fluorine-containing functional groups, and clarify the correlation between the chemical structure and GSP.
