Cosmic-ray imaging is a technique for non-destructively visualizing internal structures using cosmic-ray muons, and we employ nuclear emulsion detectors for this purpose.
One of the challenges associated with nuclear emulsions is that, under high-temperature conditions and with the passage of time, phenomena such as the fading of radiation tracks and an increase in noise grains occur, making track recognition difficult.
In this study, we address this issue by adding several types of compounds to the nuclear emulsions, which are expected to suppress these phenomena.
