We analyzed the effect of the Constant Phase Element (CPE), caused by electrode surface roughness, on cell sensing using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy via simulation. The results confirmed that cell-substrate impedance increases as the CPE exponent decreases. Additionally, regarding the detection of degranulation responses, a slight reduction in peak sensitivity and a shift toward higher frequencies were observed. This study is expected to enable highly accurate simulations that align with actual measurement behaviors.
