The phonon structure of FexTiS2, obtained by intercalating Fe into the transition metal dichalcogenide TiS2, was investigated using Raman scattering spectroscopy. An increase in the energy of the A1g mode was observed as increasing Fe concentration. This behavior can be understood as resulting from the formation of S-Fe-S bonds due to Fe intercalation within the van der Waals gap, which enhances the interlayer bonding force. Combining with the zone folding effect due to Fe arrangement, we present the phonon structure of this magnetic intercalation compounds.
