arc 3D display, observable from all directions

Arc 3D display is a technology that generates floating 3D images with continuous motion parallax in mid-air by illuminating multiple arc-shaped scratches. This technology expected to be applied to non-contact button operation and 3D signage. In this study, we propose an Arc 3D display in which the scratched substrates are changed from arc-shaped to circular. We confirmed that crescent-shaped floating images can be observed from all directions, and that the images rotate according to the observation angle.
