We predict ablation-assisted nanosecond far infrared laser fabrication of glass optical diffusers by using machine learning models. In the present indirect machining, the ns laser pulses are applied to metal substrates to produce ablation fragments, whereby the glass substrates are fabricated to make optical diffusers. Fully connected neural network models are shown to semi-quantitatively predict the properties of the optical diffusers even though the two completely different interactions are involved in the fabrication.
