A quantum-entangled two-photon absorption (ETPA) microscope, which uses entangled photon pairs for excitation, enables fluorescence imaging at lower excitation intensities than classical two-photon excitation microscopy. However, the spatial simultaneity of photon pairs at the sample plane has not been evaluated. In this study, we assessed photon-pair simultaneity at the sample plane using parallel simultaneous correlation measurements. The minus-coordinate projection of the correlation function exhibited a peak distributed over multiple regions, suggesting a useful metric for diagnosing and correcting optical aberrations and pump-beam inhomogeneity.
