In situ observation of thin-film growth during the vacuum co-evaporation process of the all-inorganic metal halide perovskite CsPbBr3 was performed using reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). Spot-like patterns indicative of island growth and streak-like patterns corresponding to quasi-2D growth were observed. Post-growth atomic force microscopy (AFM) revealed rod-like structures with in-plane orientation. Furthermore, analysis of the lattice constants derived from the RHEED patterns suggests in-plane oriented growth of CsPbBr3.
