In this study, the extremely early oxidation behavior during vacuum cooling and atmospheric decompression immediately after Si nanoparticle generation was analyzed using in situ DRIFT measurements with an infrared integrating sphere. The results revealed that the onset of oxidation varied depending on particle size, suggesting the existence of an initial oxidation mechanism unique to nanoparticles.
