In recent years, the introduction of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials has attracted considerable attention in the OLED field due to their potential to improve external quantum efficiency. TADF materials achieve high efficiency by thermally upconverting triplet excitons, which would otherwise undergo non-radiative decay in conventional OLEDs. Despite this advantage, effective measurement techniques for probing the operational processes leading to light emission have not yet been established. In this study, we aim to directly observe triplet states—key to understanding the emission mechanism in TADF-based OLEDs—using operando spectroscopic measurements, and furthermore to investigate device operation dynamics through transient spectroscopic analysis.
