We designed a cellular scaffold featuring concentric paper-cut structures and a device to unfold it into a bowl-like shape. Cells have been confirmed to align along the slit directions on the scaffold having kirigami structure. This study aims to demonstrate that cells unfolding on the bowl-shaped scaffold orient themselves concentrically, covering the hollow space within the opened slits to form three-dimensional structures. The slit design is thought to enable the formation of various three-dimensional shapes, not only bowl-shaped but also tubular and others. These structures hold potential as models for the retina and the media layer of blood vessels.
