In this study, we fabricated hybrid LEDs consisting of an electron injection layer, a core-shell colloidal quantum dot (as an emission layer), and two-layered hole transport and hole injection layers. The ZnO nano-particle, PEIE, QD, and hole transporting polymer layer (PVCz and TFB) was deposited using a maniscus coating and transfer printing process. We also fabricated the devices with vacuum processed hole transporting layer using TCTA/α-NPD, and HAT-CN. We have then deposited HAT-CN/Al or MoO3/Ag (or Al) as a top electrode to investigate reducing the operating voltage and improving efficiency.
By changing the electron injection layer and hole injection layer, we significantly reduced the operating voltage, achieving a luminance of 1000 cd/m2 at 3.4 V for green QDs.
