ゴルジ体の各層板は一見一様に見えるが、各層板の中には物理的に異なる区画(ゾーン)が複数存在し、それぞれ異なる機能を分担していることがわかってきた。本シンポジウムでは、糖鎖修飾や小胞形成、エンドサイトーシス、神経細胞の樹状突起形成、脂質輸送など様々な生命機能を制御するゴルジ体ゾーンについて最新の研究成果を報告する。
