順天堂大学大学院スポーツ健康科学研究科出身。専門は測定評価学、スポーツ視覚学、体力学などではあるが、多くの競技種目や研究領域に興味関心があり、院生たちと研究を行っている。スポーツと視覚に関する研究からも、発育発達期の子どもの頃の多様な経験の重要性を感じ、マルチスポーツに関する研究調査にも着手。
