小中学校教員(1995年～)、岐阜聖徳学園大学(2008年～)、東京学芸大学(2016年～)、2025年より椙山女学園大学教育学部教授。博士(学校教育学)。主な著書に、持久走・長距離走の授業革命－「つらいだけ」から「楽しい」への実践アイデア(2025年)、スポーツと君たち－10代のためのスポーツ教養(2019年)がある。2021年ランニング学会賞受賞。
