1994年筑波大学体育専門学群卒業、1996年筑波大学大学院修士課程体育研究科修了後、財団法人東京都健康づくり推進センター、株式会社ＴＨＦ等に在籍。2015年に筑波大学大学院人間総合科学研究科（3年制博士課程）スポーツ医学専攻修了（博士 スポーツ医学）。現職は、駒沢女子大学人間健康学部健康栄養学科（教授）。
