The role of pharmacists in society has been established through their direct contributions to patient care, utilizing their specialized knowledge in clinical pharmacy. Pharmacists have also significantly advanced public health by conducting pharmaceutical research in collaboration with diverse academic and professional fields. However, the extent of their contributions has not been adequately recognized by the general public.
To address this, pharmacists must actively promote their achievements in pharmaceutical research and their contributions to improving healthcare. This promotion is crucial to enhancing their visibility in society. Such efforts could lead to a more robust ecosystem for pharmaceutical research, where pharmacists play a central role, ultimately driving future innovation.
This symposium aims to provide an update on recent pharmaceutical research conducted by pharmacists. Through these discussions, we seek to explore strategies for increasing public awareness of the value of pharmacists' research contributions and to identify pathways for further strengthening their societal presence.
